Tell us a little about you.

I grew up near Fort Madison, Iowa. Harmony Bible Church was the church I attended growing up, if fact this is where I met my beautiful wife Chris; we now have 4 wonderful children. I have degrees from both Calvary Bible Church and Dallas Theological Seminary. I served as a youth pastor for 9 years at a church in northwest Iowa before joining the staff at Harmony in 2008.  

You might not know...

I have a twin brother.  If you're not aware of this, it could cause you to experience an awkward interaction with someone who looks like me (don't worry we are used to it.) My twin brother's name is Mike and we spend lots of time together.

What do you like best about your ministry?

I love seeing lives changed by the truth of God's word lived out; from seeing people place their faith in Jesus Christ and being rescued from sin's consequences to relationships being healed by God's work in their lives. I love to shepherd God's people through really good and really tough times! 

What was your childhood ambition?

My childhood ambition was to someday be able to come back and be a pastor at the church I grew up in. OK, so maybe I wasn't a child when I had this desire. Really, when I was a kid I wanted to be just like my Dad, and I still do, with one exception: his golf game! (Sorry Dad)
