Tell us a little about you.

I was born and raised in Washington County, Iowa.  My wife, Dwanna, is my best friend, confidant and love of my life; she is a former elementary school teacher who continues to use her teaching skills at HBC. Dwanna and I have 5 daughters and son-in-laws, 7 grandsons and 7 granddaughters! God allowed me to teach public school music for 12 years before becoming Pastor of Worship.

What was your childhood ambition?

My first childhood ambition was to be a physician, although, I fainted at the drop of blood.  Then God brought music into my life to awaken me.  God has used the gift of music to not only help me figure out who I am but reveal who He is.

Describe your role at Harmony

My role as worship leader continues to be full of joy in preparing services of worship for each Sunday. 

What do you like best about your ministry?

I love to lead worship for my King, the Lord Jesus.  It's a blessing and privilege to share the gospel of Christ in song with people of all ages.  I enjoy connecting with people whether through leading worship, teaching a small group, drinking coffee at the Harmony Café, or ministering to a broken heart. I love the way God guides and directs us as we learn to trust Him for every season of our lives.

 
You might not know...

Dwanna and I were in South Lake Tahoe, CA, in July, 2008, where we rode a zip line in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, traveling 3,000 feet in 90 seconds, approximately 55 mph.
